Stress and Depression in America

Hi-My name is Chris and I have some very opinionated views on Stress and Depression. I have lived with Depression for more than 30 years now and I know all to well the effects that Depression and Stress can have on your daily life. The thing about Depression is that most people that have it either don't know it or they are afraid of the social stigma thats attached to it. The first thing to realize is that just because you have Depression, Anxiety,Stress or your Bipolar or Manic Depressive does not mean your a whack job!

I lived a shut in life style for a lot of years,because I was afraid of life.Depression had really gotten a hold on me and that led to massive stress in my life to the point where I was thinking of suicide a lot of the time. That was then, now I have a much better life, I went to the doctor(I really dislike doctors with a passion) got on a mild anti-depressant and read up on Stress and Anxiety and learned as much as I could about the "Deadly Three" as I call them. I also bought a adsense site dealing with depression, it's mostly an information site that will lead you to web Sites that can help

Just a couple of weeks ago I found Squidoo and that has been the best therapy I could hope to find. I started a lens on Depression and it has become a very important part of my life in just a short time. They have a rating scale like Alexa and my lens started off with an overall rating of 656,787 or some high # in that region and a ranking in the health catagory of 4,000 or so,now 2 weeks later my overall rating is #258 and # 16 in Health. I'm not bragging(much) but I am just pointing out that I know a little bit about depression,Stress and Anxiety.
