I have not been keeping up with the group here like I should it has been a very busy month plus. I landed a major account for my business and I have also been working very hard on a fundraising event scheduled for tonight on top of finally getting my CITRMS certification.
I do want to share this because my fundraising efforts directly led to my new account. It was during the big push to get corporate sponsors for the fund raising event that I met the owner of a new Sports franchise here in town. He is one of our corporate sponsors for the fundraiser. It's seems that he was looking for someone with PrePaid legal Services at the time. He is a member himself and understands the value of the service and wanted to make sure his players were also protected. He was so serious about it that he did a 100% fringe on this benefit for his players and staff. I just did the initial enrollment last night for the players. My sister and I worked an hour and a half and signed almost $5000 in commissions. Now I'm telling you this to get across a very simple but important point. This is the entire point of every networking group you will ever join although BNI says it best "Givers gain". When you give to others it comes back to you. The more your effort, the bigger your return. Apply that thinking pattern in all of your networking efforts. get protected before it happens to you |

| It's that "Warm Body " thing that I keep mentioning... Whenever I get my invites to product roll-outs, breakfast presentations, business card exchanges... I can expect to either meet a new set of contacts, prospects or even friends... It's a Human Thing that's going on here, which makes it easier to do business...
Not that the Internet isn't any good, but there are some things that Human Inter-exchanges can accomplish that the Internet simply isn't good at... For example- I just signed up a client from Japan for my real estate and forex investing course... Sounds great, right? But because the Sale Notification email, wound up in my secondary 'Bulk" folder, I only found out about it today-- One whole month after the fact! :( This makes CRM matters difficult-- I always like to thank my customers and ask if they require more assistance-- You know-- "Warm Body " stuff... my new customer lives in Japan, so it's impossible for me to shake hands, or bow, as the case may be... But I could have sent him one of the most devastatingly beautiful email welcomes, with an gift included... IF the damn Sale Notification had arrived in the right box! I'll figure out how to gift him any way-- Electronic faux pas be damned... :) Have a great night, Cheryl... | It was a very rewarding experience and tonight since the fundraiser is "Networking and the Arts" and we have several more corporate sponsors there in addition to the Owner/Ceo of the franchise, there will be so much more available to me and my sister to help us expand the business.

My own experience in fund raising helped me create my 2nd business-- It's one of the toughest tasks on the Planet, but the results can more than justify the efforts! :) Fund raising is one way to elevate your networking presence... Going for corporate sponsors and having a successful time of it really can create Lifelong benefits for you and whatever endeavours you choose to persue...
