Beware of Historic Buildings

I have a cousin named Pedro.  Pedro worked for years as a security guard on the campus of William and Mary College in Williamsburg Virginia.  Many of the campus building dated from the Colonial period.  Architect Christopher Wren is responsible for most of the Colonial era buildings and there is one named for him.  Many of the guards avoided having to patrol the "Christopher Wren" Building.  Most would not say why but some would be honest enough to say the place gave them the "heebie jeebies.  Pedro was a big guy who was not scared of anything.  One night he volunteered to patrol the building.  He was also full of a lot of bravado.

Pedro entered the building with an attitude.  He basically told any entities exactly what he thought of ghosts as he entered the door.  While making the rounds, he heard something down in the basement of the building and went down to investigate.   When we tried to open the door to return upstairs he found himself locked in.  He spent the night in the basement unable to reach anyone by radio to come and let him out.

It was the next morning when the other guards finally found him.  The door was locked with a skeleton key that no one had ever seen before.  No one could explain where the key came from or how the  door got locked from the outside when Pedro was the only living person present.  Needless to say he never patrolled that building again.
