How To prevent caries?

 Dentistry Club
It's not pleasant to stay on the dentist's chair when he's using the tooth drill into your mouth on one of your teeth with a caries needing to be eliminated.

The decay or caries is caused by bacteria and if not cured, it can progressively destroy your teeth reducing their enamel in a black powder or sponge.

The main causes of it can be a lack of fluoride ions (F-) in the food or water you consume (but, today, in many Countries, the sweet water you drink is always enriched with little amounts of F- to prevent caries diffusion in the population) and/or a scarce teeth hygiene after your meals, especially when containing many sugars (sweets, cakes, cream and chocolate snacks, candies, honey, and so on.
Always washing your teeth immediately after the end of your meal is very important and you should use a tooth-paste containing fluorine salts, like the sodium monofluorophosphate (Na2FPO3) at about 0.1-0,2%.

Also the teeth plaque is a dangerous possible source of caries, between the gums and the teeth enamel and you should be careful to reduce it, following the advices of your dentist, before "enjoying" his drill.
