Network based marketing and relationships |
|
In network based marketing there are two essential learning curves: Learning the craft of marketing online, which in itself can be a huge task. Then there is the social side, relationship building. To some people That can also be a huge task. To some people this comes easy, but then there are those that have uncertainties on how to approach others to start building that relationship. This does not mean that they don’t like to socialize or know anything; they could just be a bit shy Take me for example; I have always been shy when first meeting people. I remember finding out years later, that in grade school other kids thought I was stuck up because I didn’t speak up right away. What’s funny about it is once we meet and get to know each other, I don’t shut up. Marketing online requires a lot of writing and some don’t think they know how. I have been told to write how you speak, well in my case, I know what I mean, but conveying it to others is sometimes difficult. I have a type of dyslexia, where I approach everything from the opposite direction as others. I used to, well actually sometimes I still do, wonder why it is so hard to understand my way when it seems perfectly logical to me. My husband just shakes his head and laughs. Anyway, back to network based marketing. Starting relationship building requires using the phone and to some it’s kind of like being phone shy. What do you say, what if they ask something you don’t know how to answer? Some will tell you to just do it, but that is sometimes easier said than done. Their is one of my team members that would much rather be on the phone than on the computer and another that will do anything on the computer to help his team mates, but won’t pick up the phone. That is why having a team is so important in the networking business, each person has their own special skills that they can bring to the team. Our team pulls together as a whole, trains, and masterminds for the benefit of the whole team. If someone has an idea, we find a way for it to benefit everyone. If something new to the internet world comes up, one of us will learn it and teach it to the rest of the team. How cool it that? So, if you have a networking team and aren’t staying in touch or showing them how to market online, my suggestion is to start. There are so many cool ways to do this.We can discuss those next..
