| Lee, what a great story! I had no idea that you and Dr Billi met offline in a doctor's waiting room.
What a wonderful demonstration of the "Law of Attraction"... not only did you and Dr Billi attract each other, but you attracted this entire team. And now, you have brought several of your family members in as well. The "chance" meeting between yourself and Dr Billi has impacted several people - in many ways. Thank you for sharing. | I would like to focus on one statement you made, Dr. Billi. You said, “In order to build a relationship with someone, you have to allow them to get to know you.” How true that is, and I wanted to take this opportunity to expand on that statement just a bit. In doing so, I would like to use the relationship that has developed between you and I as an example.
When we met in that doctor's waiting room over a year ago It would have been easy for each of us to bury our heads in a magazine or watch the tube. I don't remember which of us spoke first and that really doesn't matter. What is important is that we struck up a conversation. Neither of us was trying to impress the other and we were not trying to sell anything. I was impressed by your knowledge and sense of integrity and felt that I would like to know you better. We exchanged email addresses and, as promised, you sent me your newsletter. You may never know at the time of first meeting what importance that person will have in your life. When I received information from you about Mentors In Motion I gave that information special attention because I knew you and trusted you. I elected to join the MIM team largely on the basis of the strength of our relationship and the trust that I had in you. I certainly have not been disappointed with that decision and feel indebted to you for considering me worthy for the honor of belonging to this team. That chance meeting and the opportunity to get to know you has in many ways changed to course of my life.
