It's all about traffic, getting people to your affiliate site, squeeze page or your own website. Then you must convert them to buyers. The so called gurus make it sound so easy, but it's not. They're making money because they created the product. They then get hundreds of affiliates to sell their product. When the market for that particular product has dried up, they come up with another one. And the system repeats itself.
Traffic+Conversions=Money.

Like Denise said its all about traffic and exposure to your profile.I am a a big user of traffic exchanges and I build downlines with in the exchanges.Social networking sites I get new connections then I invite them to my groups that your allowed to create.The groups should be about your business people that you invite from your connections are hot leads and if they join your group even hotter.I build my groups daily and Iam leading 3 referral competions as I write this.I use Facebook,Bizoppers,Linkedin,Adlandpro.Be consitant keep a desk diary for daily marketing. Safelists I also use big time check which list give results at Hitshoopla.

Your gonna need skills and tools for your own website and advertising. And when i say tools... you need great tools! But still without experience, you can too do your marketing online with the help of some company. As for me i enrolled into STIFORP for the tools they provide at a very low monthly fee of $9.95. There are a number of methods for making a living from home. Some very simple and some time consuming. However, at the end of the day, to generally succeed in a home business you need to provide value; something of real use to your audience. Then you will need time, unless you are fortunate or have the manpower and capital. Use your time to explore what works best for you to establish your online presence. There are many tools and methods to explore such as auto-responders (used for email marketing), curation software, web and sales page builders etc. One more thing; join the “right” company, when I say this I mean be careful not to fall into the trap of promoting useless, scammy programs. If you have a talent - sell it!

You need your own list. To get your own list, you need a product, a squeeze page to capture leads (names & email addresses) and an autoresponder. To make a decent amount of money online, you'll need a fairly large list. Finding a good funnel system is the key.

Hello Yvonne :) No clear and simple answers here. I will, however, mention the fact that the hype merchants online have created such wild expectations about the ease and, indeed, certainty of success that many people do not expect any effort.

Always tweak your campaigns or promotions and try to determine which are the most effective. Effective tracking of results can be both time consuming and problematic. I tend to focus on specific areas on a short term basis to at least 'get a feel' for the results.

Always remember, make friends and have fun :) Tell people online and offline, about your chosen business. Tell them why you are excited. Explain the potential gains and the fact that helping others to help others is the path to successful marketing.

Most affiliate sites pay very little money or nothing, so this is why you work do hard. After many years of research, waste of time and lose of money I have found few programs that are putting in my STP and Alertpay account few hundred dollars daily. The problem is that you must take the risk and put some money in front in order to make real money, otherwise so called online business is just a waste of time.

Finding a legitimate affiliate program that will actually end up paying for internet works can be a nightmare. The amount of money you can make in affiliate business is staggering if you are a serious marketer.You can realistically earn good income just by marketing working programs. In my experience CLICKBANK is one of them. Here the advantages are .... free membership, you get paid every fortnight, commissions up to 75% per sale. Promote any product you like driving targeted traffic ... am sure you 'll succeed.

You need SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Social Bookmarking, Classified Submissions & Article Marketing will do all of the work for you. I can work with you personally, but you have to be willing to follow instructions. And it's going to take a little time & a small investment because there's literally thousands of other affiliates doing the same thing you're doing. But again, I can coach you if you'd like me to!

Working from home takes discipline. You should make yourself a schedule. Like I am going to read my emails and spend one hour on that. I am going to work on APSense for an hour. Take hour or two hour segments. Don't forget to leave time for yourself though. :)
