RE: "Can you endorse me?"?
Asked by Joe Sansoucie, in Internet & eBusiness
How can anyone endorse someone they have never done business with or know?
What is the point? What if you endorse someone who turns out to be a bad choice? Curious....

mrdotcom.wsJust endorse their resources that you know you have knowledge of. But I still believe that you should know the person first ^^ Sep 16th 2012 09:35 |

Webmaster, SEO expertI too think, You should first know the person. I find it annoying, when persons send me the request. I think, it will be nice contact me first. Sep 17th 2012 03:43 |

Advertising Your Business Is My Business@Juri I agree it's almost a spam isn't it. I think if I wanted someone to endorse me, I would recommend they get to know me first. Some people I have never talked to before want me to endorse them, yet I have no idea if they offer value. Contacting first is a good idea. I also think they should be a premium member and not a free member. You know, put your money where your mouth is requirement. I would not endorse a freebie seeker. Sep 17th 2012 04:31 |

TE Owner & Graphic DesignerI seldom endorse on request. I will certainly not endorse any-one I have not interacted with. In general I only endorse people and services I know and I have tried myself. Endorsement on APSense is a bit limited because you can only endorse resources and experiences. Sometimes I want to endorse a person i.e. for posting quality content whilst I do not endorse the programs he or she is in. Sep 17th 2012 04:45 |

Video Champions, APSense MentorUnfortunately, I think many people are only trying to increase the number of recommendations they have, they don't really care what's been said in the recommendations. You'll notice some recommendations don't even talk about the person instead the person who wrote it recommends some program, why did the person even accept such a recommendation is beyond me. TE Owner & Graphic DesignerI must agree with Phillip there. Such recommendations have no value. When you are active and helpful on apsense there is no need to ask for them either basically. People will write them spontaneously. Sep 17th 2012 07:42 1 Likes |

My Little Gem... NPNI get those a lot. I think those request are not being sent out by the person....Call me crazy but I think they might be being sent out at random. I got one asking for a recommendation and it was from ME! Sep 17th 2012 09:01 |

Business OwnerAgree ya;ll.I cannot recommend anyone or anything that I am not fully aware of.My recommendation is like my "word" on something; and my "word: is sacred and solemn. And is given with truth and integrity. Sep 17th 2012 09:37 |

Social Network MarketerWhy do others in Apsense ask for recommendations when you don't them? I can't endorse anyone unless I know something about them or have chatted with them. Just doing it arbitrarily doesn't speak to the character of that person asking. I can't compromise my integrity to lie online about someone I don't know. Sep 17th 2012 12:51 |

AdvertiserI would like to say something about that question too. I got a looot of requests ( I still do) But sorry I cant do that. An endorsment I wrote mean something. I must know something about that person, I must know his/hers work and then and only then I can write something good for both of us. Sep 17th 2012 13:01 |

As long as you're promoting a legitimate / legal product and/or service, I will endorse you; but remember, this is indeed a two-way street... Sep 18th 2012 18:24 |

I have 24 on the line...:)
They are only requests, If you're not feeling well or even don't know the persons who asking you for recommendation, just ignore ....
