I think we all agree that you can't 'make' people join as members of a site. What you can do is let people know what and why you are a member or affiliate of a site or online business. They will either be interested or not. If they are, tell them a little more and let them ask further. Don't give them every detail about it or you will scare them away. If they are not interested, that's okay too. Leave them alone.

You can't make people join your sites, but there are some things you can do to help persuade them. First, you should concentrate on selling yourself, by showing that you are knowledgeable and willing to help them. If people trust you, then they are more likely to sign up for the sites you recommend. Also, you have to be honest about what you are promoting. Too much hype turns people away.
