Women's strike, feminist strike on March 8, 2019All over the world, women stand up, denounce, react to sexism, to all forms of violence and to the discrimination they suffer.
On March 8, 2019, International Day of the struggle for women's rights, we call for a strike. Women participate in all aspects of life, which is why this strike goes further than wage labor, and also affects domestic work, care for others, consumption and education. Let's send a strong message to society: " If women stop, the world stops . "
Enough of organized economic precariousness , which keeps us in partial times, in devalued professions, making us poor and dependent workers.
Enough of wage inequality , late retirement and poor pensions. Enough of inaccessible, inadequate and inappropriate allocations.
Enough of the lack of crches, homes and accessible reception and care facilities , which places a collective responsibility exclusively on the shoulders of women.
Enough to be alone in taking charge of daily housework and caring for others. Enough that this free or low-paid work, and the mental load that goes with it, leave us no time for us.
Enough of racist migration policies that put us in particular danger, lock us up, condemn us to poverty and kill us.
Enough to be discriminated everywhere on the basis of our skin colors, our origins, our income, our gender, our sexual orientation, our beliefs ...
Enough sexist stereotypes in education, culture, media and advertising, which send us back the image of the woman-object and confine us to specific and secondary roles.
Enough to impose on us how to live our sexuality, our relationship to motherhood, contraception and abortion . Enough to mix with our bodies and our lives.
Enough of medical and gynecological violence , and difficulties of access to care.
Enough physical and psychological violence (domestic, sexual, in the couple, street harassment and at work ...). Enough of feminicides, murders of women because they are women. Enough of the political and legal complicity that the authors enjoy.
We have waited too long, it is high time to demand respect, change and rewrite together the rules of the game. Let's leave our usual places and gather to pick up those we are deprived of. Let's hear our voices. In solidarity, each with its possibilities, its experience, its demands and desires, make March 8, 2019 an intense day of struggle and liberation.
