THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO MAKE SOAP:
1.)COLD PROCESS
2.)SEMI-BOILED PROCESS
1.)Cold process-is the easy and simples of the saponifaction and requires minimum equipment.The natural heat is generated during the reaction of the oil and the alkali. The oil mixture is taken in a convenient vessel-a cylindricalor rectangular flat or dished bottom pan called soap crutches. If the changes contains tallow,the pan is warmed till the whole mass ia in liquid form.Sufficient keeping the mass continuously stirred as the mixture proceed the mass thickens and atirring is continued till the soap is smooth homogeneous and firm enough. Coconut oil is the most suitable oil for this process, since is saponifies immediately and can take appreciable fillers.
2.)Semi-boiled process-the difference is the method used by heating at 80'c of the oil, alkali solution is then added in such quantities to keep the mass on the alkaline side
