The hunt for the Tag Guru
Over the course of time, mankind has risen to the top as the superior creature on earth. One thing separates man from all the other creatures. And they have learned to use this alphabet to translate thought and emotion into words.

Legend says there is a human unlike any other. Some people have mastered the noun. Others the verb. Some have mastered single words while others have mastered phrases. But there is one who wields all power over the noun, the verb, phrases, complete sentences, and much more. There is one whose simple mouse click causes words to move like rivers throughout the land. Somewhere among us, there lurks the Tag Guru.

The Tag Guru Rises to Fame
Legend says the Tag Guru will reveal himself or herself to the rest of the tagVillagers on January 1st, 2012. They will rise to fame through a series of tests. Within every tagVillager is the power to be the Tag Guru. But only one will prevail. Only one will stand in the end, with their head held high, as they are proclaimed throughout the world as the official Tag Guru.

$100,000 Tag Apprentice Prize Pool
Beginning October 1st, 2011, every single tagVillager will set out on their personal quest to become the Tag Guru. But first they must achieve the rank of Tag Apprentice. Every time they buy a Tag (regardless of the price) they will earn a Tag Apprentice Point. When they have earned 1,000 Tag Apprentice Points, they will officially be declared a Tag Apprentice and will be awarded one (1) Tag Apprentice Star. Then, on January 1st, 2012, every Tag Apprentice will exchange their Tag Apprentice Star for one (1) equal share of the $100,000 Tag Apprentice Prize Pool.
1 Tag purchase = 1 Tag Apprentice Point
1,000 Tag Apprentice Points = Tag Apprentice Rank
Tag Apprentice Rank = 1 Tag Apprentice Star
1 Tag Apprentice Star = 1 Equal Share of $100,000 Tag Apprentice Prize Pool

So, every single tagVillager that earns 1,000 Tag Apprentice Points between October 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011 will become a Tag Apprentice and receive 1 equal share of the $100,000 Tag Apprentice Prize Pool.

$100,000 Tag Journeyman Prize Pool
From October 1st, 2011 to December 31st, 2011 every single tagVillager that reaches the rank of Tag Apprentice will continue their quest to achieve the rank of Tag Journeyman. Every time a Tag Apprentice buys a Tag (regardless of the price) they will earn a Tag Journeyman Point. When they have earned 3,500 Tag Journeyman Points, they will officially be declared a Tag Journeyman and will be awarded one (1) Tag Journeyman Star. Tag Journeymen have an additional objective. They want to help their referrals become Tag Apprentices and Tag Journeymen. Every time a referral of a Tag Journeyman becomes a Tag Apprentice, the Tag Journeyman will be awarded one (1) additional Tag Journeyman Star. Every time a referral of a Tag Journeyman becomes a Tag Journeyman, the Tag Journeyman referrer will be awarded two (2) additional Tag Journeyman Stars. Then, on January 1st, 2012, every Tag Journeyman will exchange each of their Tag Journeyman Stars for one (1) share of the $100,000 Tag Journeyman Prize Pool.

From October 1st, 2011 to December 31st, 2011 every single tagVillager that reaches the rank of Tag Journeyman will continue their quest to achieve the rank of Tag Master. Every time a Tag Journeyman buys a Tag (regardless of the price) they will earn a Tag Master Point. When they have earned 7,500 Tag Master Points, they will officially be declared a Tag Master and will be awarded one (1) Tag Master Star. Tag Masters have an additional objective. They want to help their referrals become Tag Apprentices, Tag Journeymen, and Tag Masters. Every time a referral of a Tag Master becomes a Tag Apprentice, the Tag Master will be awarded one (1) additional Tag Master Star. Every time a referral of a Tag Master becomes a Tag Journeyman, the Tag Master will be awarded two (2) additional Tag Master Stars. Every time a referral of a Tag Master becomes a Tag Master, the Tag Master referrer will be awarded three (3) additional Tag Master Stars. In the end, there will be five (5) Chosen Ones. These elite tagVillagers will be the five Tag Masters with the most Tag Master Stars. On January 1st, 2012, the five Chosen Ones will each be awarded one (1) equal share of the $100,000 Chosen Ones Prize Pool.

$100,000 Tag Guru Prize
From the Chosen Ones there will emerge one who shall be called the official Tag Guru. This incredible, talented tagVillager will become legendary throughout the land. Of the five Chosen Ones, the one who has the most Tag Master Stars of all will officially be declared as the Tag Guru. On January 1st, 2012, the Tag Guru will be awarded the entire $100,000 Tag Guru Prize.

The Tag Guru will be a person of legend and fame. This person shall receive their very own dedicated landing page on the tagvillage website for an entire year. They will be granted the exclusive right to proclaim their title as Tag Guru on blogs, website, printed material, or anywhere else they wish for an entire year. They will also receive a special profile in the upcoming tagvillage Social Network.
