Review on Samsung Wave 3 GT-S8600

The Samsung Wave 3 is Samsungs new flagship Bada phone, running the latest version of Samsungs proprietary operating system.
Bada is maturing into quite a nice product, with about 6500 downloadable applications for this platform, which is quite good but nothing like the range available for Android or the iPhone. Although there are quite a few decent looking games around, Angry Birds is not available for this platform (well, not yet).
Although Bada is often associated with less powerful smartphones, the Wave 3 is a powerful device. Inside is a 1.4GHz processor, on the front is a large 4 480 x 800 pixel display, on the back is a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, plus a secondary VGA camera on the front for video calling. The Wave 3 has an FM radio, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3.5G support. Internal flash memory is a decent 3GB with a microSD slot that can take up to 32GB.
All the usual smartphone features are here such as a web browser and email client, plus social network services for most major sites, instant messaging and that sort of thing. The large display and speedy processor should make applications run very quickly and smoothly.
The Wave 3 is housed in an attractive aluminium unibody case and it measures 126 x 64 x 10mm and weighs 122 grams. The relatively large 1500 mAh battery is quoted as giving up to 8.5 hours talktime and 20 days standby time.
