Within the area of sustainability, SIMOWOOD sheets made of Re-systa a material based on rice husks were of particular interest to visitors. Boasting a wood feel and appearance, this product is manufactured without having to fell a single tree. SIMOWOOD ab-sorbs hardly any water and combines the processing properties of wood and plastic. Conversations with trade visitors to K 2013 re-vealed a wide range of potential applications for the extruded sheets in the furniture, construction and leisure industry.
