The actual sales numbers are in for September, but our report from last week was not as accurate as some expected. In fact the industry is having its best year since 2007. Looking at sales figures, to date automakers sold 10.9 million vehicles domestically with projections to reach around 14.4 million by years end.
Of our Big 3, Chrysler Group had the most sales increases, up 11.5% over September of last year. That did beat industry forecasts by some margin. However GM and Ford did fall short of predictions
