Asusbeing one of the First company this year has announced that it has started rolling outAndroid 8.0 Oreofor theZenFone 4.The latest Android experience comes through a FOTA (firmware-over-the-air) update that will be available in batches for the ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL) model. The entire Asus ZenFone 4 series, comprising the ZenFone 4,ZenFone 4 Selfie,ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro,ZenFone 4 Pro, and their numerous variants, presently runs Android Nougat and was promised to receive an update to Android Oreo sometimein the second half of 2018.
Asannouncedthrough Asus ZenTalk forums on Monday, the Android 8.0 Oreo update would take around a week to reach all the ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL) units globally.
TheAndroid Oreoupdate for the ZenFone 4 includes all the core Android Oreo features. Users can experience Background limits, Autofill, Smart text selection, and Picture-in-Picture mode. Similarly, the new update brings Android Instant App support and fully redesigned emoji set, adaptive icons, and easier installation for unknown apps.
The update availability will be notified by a push notification. However, users can manually check its arrival by going toSettings>About>System Update.
