Research codes and standards adopted by the AHJ. Team has strong knowledge of several versions of IBC, NFPA, IPC, IFC, etc.
Heat loss and/ or gain calculations (TRACE, DOE, and CARRIER HAP)
Heating and cooling system schematic design
Pipe size and pressure drop calculations utilizing ASHRAE standards using industry standard tools.
Duct size and pressure drop calculations utilizing ASHRAE standards using industry standard tools.
Fire protection system design as per NFPA Standard adopted by the AHJ.
Plumbing system design as per the IPC or other local codes adopted by the AHJ.
Work closely with vendors (Carrier, Trane, McQuay, Daikin, etc.) to select equipment and specify them on design documents.
