Review on EgyptAir Expands Fleet With $2.2 Billion Deal
EgyptAirs Chairman Safwat Mousallam explained that the airlines fleet renewal plan was conducted with an aim to yield significant economies in terms of fuel and maintenance. During this period EgyptAir was able to complete a purchase/sale / lease back of nine 737-800 from Boeing and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).The deal would help EgyptAir serve its network well. The airline, which flies to 47 countries connecting 62 cities across the globe, recorded $1.01 billion (EGP17.912 billion) in revenues in FY2015/16.
