The trend in India is changing at a gigantic level, and the busy lifestyles of people are forcing them to shop for stuff and find services online more than ever. The recent outburst of websites offering online shopping and online services stands testimony to that fact. Not only are they proving to be convenient for people who have no time to spare, but they are also great when it comes to getting things for cheaper rates.
And now an online company called EASYFix, has tried to do something different and has become the first company in India to take the home repair and maintenance services online. I believe that it is quite an innovative idea, because till now, we were only able to buy clothes, shoes, consumer electronics and other such stuff online.
But now, we would also be able to hire electricians, carpenters, plumbers and everything that comes under the home repair and maintenance domain. I live in Delhi and I feel that people here would definitely welcome the services. And in fact, I have already used their services on a few occasions and found them to be quite up-to-the-mark. Well, I guess I had to try them; after all it was a concept that was absolutely new to me. And to almost everyone I know, I guess.
Their services are good, but theres just one problem that they are currently only catering to the people of Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad at the moment. But I do hope that they introduce their services to the other metropolitan cities as well. When it comes to the charges, I was given a neat and well defined rate-card, which clearly outlined exactly how much cost I would have to incur for a particular service.
Earlier I used to have to fight with the local servicemen to negotiate the prices, but since they gave me a rate-card so I knew exactly how much I will have to pay. In the end, all I would like to say is that its a welcome change and urban India really needed something like this to make life more convenient and comfortable.
