Arue is a commune of French Polynesia located north-east of Tahiti. Tetiaroa atoll belonging to Marlon Brando's heirs is attached to the town: it is the only low island in the archipelago of Windward Islands (Tahiti and Moorea). She had almost 9458 inhabitants in 20071. Located in the urban area of more than 3 km from the capital Papeete, it has an area of 15.60 km2. It is their duty station of the Pacific marine infantry regiment in Polynesia (RIMaPP) and an industrial area (food, building, Finishing work) with commercial and artisanal fisheries center, a large area Carrefour, a mini- market local products and tourist activities.
