About Crazy World Of Widgets

Widgets become extremly popular with Web 2.0 technologies and new, so called social networks.

But what are this widgets?

There's a lot of definitions, for example:

- A visual element of a Web page, such as a button, entry field, or drop-down list. HATS applications transform host components into widgets.

- Window gadget. The basic building block for a graphical user interface. A widget is a window with a particular appearance and behavior.

- Screen-based controls that are used to interact with a website and other systems. Widgets include pushbuttons, selection lists, radio buttons, sliders, etc.

- An object that accepts user input, such as a check box, radio button, or drop-down list.

From my point of view, the most important aim of widgets is that they're interfaces to web services. And they're very easy to use. Just copy&paste and you can have a bunch of new content at your page, blog, profile, etc....

So, the aim of this group is, to present APsense users various widgets and how to use them in your posts.
