It was a difficult choice deciding whether to place this group under the Business, Health & Fitness or Marketing category. I decided on marketing because that was my primary reason for joining Chews4Health. A company can choose different ways to market its products. There are different distribution channels to choose from, such as: Google, Expedia use the Internet Walmart uses the Big Box Boutiques use retail (small stores) 1-800 numbers - the infomercial or television commercial (teleshopping in Europe) Network marketing (that’s us – word of mouth to friends and family) As a manufacturer you have to decide the best way to bring your product to the market. As a networker I have often thought about using distribution channels other than “word of mouth to friends and family”. For example advertising through the Internet… that’s an obvious one! The Big Box may be stretching things a little, but e.g. our LifeWave products are very suitable for retail outlets. And nation wide television commercials would be a fantastic option for our LifeWave products, yet unaffordable for a small networker like myself. Could we form a co-op to share the costs? Yes that’s feasible. Could we setup a call centre to handle all the telephone orders and convert customers into distributors? Yes that’s feasible. Could you do this across the globe? Yes that’s feasible in some countries… certainly in the USA, certainly in Europe. Does it already exist? Yes, in fact it is starting to take shape under the name National Co-op Marketing. And maybe we will set up National Co-op Marketing for LifeWave in the future… where there’s a will there’s a way. If you were on my mailing list last year, then you will recall that I have a strong affinity with cooperative approaches. It comes from my Basque Heritage and my pride regarding the Mondragon movement. A huge international success with it’s own fully evolved university in Bilbao. And also a strong reason why I am actively participating in the growth of the MLMentors Network and our own university. Anyway I have decided to use the coming 12 months gaining some direct experience on a co-op approach to infomercials. And I have found a National Co-op Marketing program that will launch in Q4 2008 in the USA, which is tied to: Chews4Health I am not promoting this venture (yet :-) because it is new, just launched and therefore too “green” to get through a serious due diligence screening. But the company owner has chosen network marketing as the distribution channel and is determined to repeat his previous success with National Co-op Marketing. So this is something I will participate in passively (famous last words... when have I ever been passive about something that I am enthusiastic about ?!). Anyway, a passive involvement (as an investor) is important in order to properly test the effectiveness this co-op approach. The fact that it is being set up with a professional call centre that will do all the “talking” to customers and prospects has fired up my curiosity. And who knows, should they survive the next couple of years and expand internationally, the company might just be ripe enough to pass our due diligence screening some day. And wouldn’t it be great if we eventually set up National Co-op Marketing for our Lifewave venture? But let's get some hands on experience first. Enjoy and good luck! As someone who is interested in earning extra money you need to be honest and ask yourself where your passion lies. Do you really want to earn your income as an active affiliate, or would you prefer to set back and let you money work for you? If I had to make an educated guess, most of us are a combination of the two... willing to work hard for a while in anticipation of developing a residual income. Unfortunately not everyone is cut out to be an active affiliate, otherwise the failure rate would not be as high as it is. And those who fail also do so at a price. They waste their money purchasing leads, paying for classifed ads, and a whole load of other bits and pieces that deliver absolutely nothing. So here are two mindsets for you: Mindset 1: Successful affiliates are active on a daily basis, repeating those simple tasks day in day out that do not cost any money. Mindset 2: There is an investor approach available for the rest, and that is a National CO-OP Marketing program. If you feel that you have been wasting your money as a networker and getting no results along the way, then you will want to take a closer look at this investment opportunity. Although it is a legitimate and promising business venture, and not promoted as an investment opportunity, it is nevertheless potentially one of the best high yield investment programs out there.
