After reading this article Hunger in Ethiopia now spreading to adults on Yahoo News see the article here! I really started to think something has to be done. We talk about love, peace and unity everyday. There is no way we can be comfortable knowing that there are people living like this. The oil crisis is crazy I don't know what is the root cause of it but I know whatever it is there is someone somewhere who knows the solution and is doing nothing. Fighting over oil profits and such alike when the world is in trouble is just ridiculous (this is rumoured to be going on in a major oil supplying nation). As humans in the civilized world we can do better. Ethiopia and other countries I understand are facing serious drought however it should not be a problem for countries that are being productive to put in a hand. Guess what because of the price of oil farmers can't afford to buy fertilizers whose price as risen with the oil. We might not be able to take a trip to Africa or the other lands to help but there are many organizations that are able to reach these people. I would suggest we support these organizations in whatever way we can. Even in our prayers just remember these people. As it regards to conserving electricity and food I cannot overemphasize please, I implore, do your best and don't just neglect the situation. Don't Waste. This group is all about the sensitive conscious of life, discussing these issues and encouraging each other. Renewable energy and charity articles are accepted in this group, a related ad at the end of the post will not be penalized. |
