With a name like that, I don't expect a lot of followers, but I'd like this group to be real.
We don't all have instant success, or the money we'd like, and most of the hype we hear isn't true anyway.
Now, I'm not here to be cynical, but rather, encourage those of you wondering why it seems everyone else gets the breaks.
The reality of growing your business or anything else in life, centers around the 80/20 rule. For those of you who've never heard of it, I'll tell you in a nut shell.
In 1906, Pareto, created a mathematical formula to describe the unequal wealth in his country, Italy. Basically he determined that 20% of the people had 80% of the wealth.
More recently, we've discovered, it can apply to almost anything. Joseph Juran, circa 1930s and 40s, called it the "vital few and trivial many".
What this means to us is it will take 80% of our time to produce 20% of our success. The good thing is, once we get the 80% out of the way, the remaining 20% is a breeze.
Whether we like it or not, we have to work for our success. But it can be fun. I'd like this group to talk about some of the 80% that we've been doing and which parts of that are working.
If anyone is currently in the 20% (honestly) we need your encouragement. Not an advertisement, there are plenty of places for that. Just share with us what you learned in the beginning.
