Writing Literary Commentary can be easy if organized

English is a vast subject and also consists of many parts. Each part is important to a baccalaureate degree in English. One of them is a literary commentary, which is a form of writing and one should have the skills to arrange the ideas and views in a professional way.

Literary commentary is not just like any other custom paper writing urgently, but it is different and needs a more proficient approach. You need to adapt the tone of the passage given to you to read. Anybody can come up with a good piece by just keeping few things in mind.

Firstly, the most important point is reading the passage carefully and doodling down your reactions in the first read, so you can add them later in your writing. Jot down phrases and references in the second read, to quote them in your analysis later. Two is the least number of times you need to read, going through it for the third or the fourth time is ideal.

Once you are done with reading while jotting down the points you have much going on in your mind. Starting off with the analysis right away would result in a puzzled piece of writing. If you want your writing to be systematic and professional, plan your writing. Arrange all the points in logical order and match the quotes you already have found from the passage. Identify the theme or the topic of the passage. Recognize the message, discuss the tone and confer the sensory details. Argue over what the aim of the passage is. If you find it difficult to start off with the introduction paragraph, start with the main body, leaving it for the end.

Once you are done with putting the points straight, you are all ready to write the literary commentary. Some points that you need to consider in your writing is that you need to avoid using first or second person. Also, do not use contractions. Using contractions is very informal and you don’t need your writing to be informal.

While concluding the writing make sure that you do not introduce new ideas in the last paragraph. Any new point should not be added at the last and if you have missed any, rewrite the analysis. Now if you have skipped the introduction earlier than write a gripping introduction paragraph.
