One of them is an off-road adventure in a four-wheel drive, which takes you through the steep slopes and rugged terrains. If you're visiting this island during the winter season, you can enjoy mountaineering and skiing on the snowy peaks of the island. Among them is Dakos, which comprises olive oil, fresh cheese, chopped tomatoes, and a few herbs placed on the Paximadi rusk. You'd also like to taste Sarikopitakia, a delicious variety of cheese pie prepared in olive oil and served warm with honey sprinkled on top. Another delectable treat is Loukoumades or fried dough served with nuts, ice cream, and honey. Cretan Salad is another popular delicacy of the island you can't afford to miss during your holiday.
