by Mohimenul Islam SEO service provider

Did you ever wonder, how some apps can get over 10.000 downloads on the first day? Certainly, these apps will have a big budget for ad spends and did run large marketing campaigns, or what do you think? Maybe it is that, but maybe they just used one simple trick that everybody, even on low budget can use.

Here I am informing you some important things about landing page and Android app marketing. Read this until the end.

Promote your app with a landing page before publishing it

A landing page. A simple website, where you already feature some of the content of your app, before actually publishing it, can help you in many ways. You can use it prior to the app publishing, during the first days of your apps published lifecycle and even after you established your app on the market.

The landing page during your app development phase. Right up front, if you are currently in your app development phase, go, create a landing page. It can become one of your best investments on the long run and as you may know, running a webpage today is as easy as to grab a domain name, find a cheap hoster and set up a WordPress one-page landing page.

This landing page will be a place where you can

  1. Blog about your app development
  2. You have an asset that you can use to showcase while you pitch your app to investors
  3. Collect email addresses of your targeted user base

This will help you in many ways. You can start out and put an email form field on that page. This will collect possible clients that are interested in your app so that you can start emailing them as soon as your app is finally published. Then, you can put some graphics of your app on the page, tell users about how you solve problems they have with your app. Or, if you are a gaming app, you can just use it to showcase your graphic designs and special gameplay elements.

From this page, you can start advertising on social media. With advertising, i don't just mean putting Facebook ads out, but creating interaction with your targeted audience.

Promote your app with a landing page after you already published it

A great push to your app can also come from your landing page after you already published it. I always tell clients to create a community around there app to really get successful with it. If your app is only there and nobody talks about it, you will never get real traction on the market. So, create a forum for your apps users, link to great videos about your app so that people see other people interact with your app. Put the latest news regarding your app on that page. This way, people will have a place to communicate with you and other users and you will naturally build up a community for your app and increase retention rate and downloads for your android app in general.
