Why it is getting more and more difficult to breathe in our cities?

by Yashi Ganguly Writer
This year Diwali was different in Delhi, less noisy and less polluting than yesteryears thanks to the Supreme Court order that banned the sale of firecrackers in Delhi. However, the pollution levels still rose to ten times of the permissible limits of PM 2.5 and PM 10 in many areas. Just imagine this is the state of affairs in the capital where even a Supreme Court order cannot ensure pollution free air.

There are many reasons for this and despite the best efforts of the authorities the smog in Delhi or for that matter in any Indian metro has become a routine affair and people have started taking it in their stride. But unfortunately, your body just cannot cope with high PM 2.5 levels which for the most part of winter remain far above the permissible limits. Many reasons can be attributed to this including vehicular pollution, burning of stubs in Haryana fields, low air velocity, diesel generators, coal-based thermal power plants and so on. As you can see most of these things are beyond the control of any government. After all, you cannot bring a city to halt by banning transport or stopping the electricity generation.

In this scenario, you have to guard yourself against the poor air quality throughout winter. As any doctor in town would tell you that respiratory diseases multiply several times in the city in this season and most of the patients are either old age people or children. Even the healthy young people also start complaining about short breath and fatigue and headache.  The high PM 2.5 levels are indeed the culprit. These particulate matters are small enough to get into the bloodstream and can cause deadly diseases including kidney failure and cancer. They mix with blood and reach the cells and destroy their functioning.

The children are at higher risk as their immunity is still building and they just cannot cope with the heavy intake of PM 2.5 while they play outdoors. In this scenario, only one thing that can come to the rescue is anti-pollution mask which can filter out the harmful toxins in the air.

Here it would be important to note that no ordinary mask is the answer to particulate matter pollution, common surgical and rubber mask is just waste of money as they are useless against PM 2.5. The N95 Mask Pollution is the best solution to deal with the situation. The Vogmask N95 is indeed an ideal solution which comes in various designs and is washable and fits perfectly on the face. It also has a valve to regular the air intake and activated carbon to take care of pathogens. It also blocks foul smells and takes care of condensation. These are designed by Manish Arora and so have a high fashion quotient and can be worn for long hours in any season.

Its activated Carbon absorbs Ozone, Sulphur Dioxide etc. It is Lab tested to filter over 99% of particles 0.3-1 micron and ideal for sports and cycling with Exhalation Valve. Moreover, it is perfect Pollution Mask For Children as it has been tested on children. The Vogmask N95 is marketed and promoted by Nirvana Being which is one of the most reputed companies in the country. Buying  The N95 Pollution Mask can be a smart decision this winter.
