· Incorrect Server address: many
times, the email server is incorrect, so check the server address and find whether
the problem lies here or there is any other reason.
· Authentication type:
authentication protocol is a type of computer communications protocol or
cryptographic protocol that is designed to transfer authentication data between
two entities. SSL is for incoming server authentication and for outgoing it
should be TLS.
· Filter related issue: may-be
you have applied an email filter, so the emails are getting forwarded to trash
or spam folder. Check the filter settings of your email and see if they are
being moved to trash or spam folder. If there is any filter, remove it
immediately. Now you will start receiving emails again.
· Check the email forwarding settings: Email
forwarding service enables you to forward an email received from one user to
other. This feature is useful for many users especially who have multiple
accounts. But this can create problem in some cases. If you are not able to
receive mails, check the email forwarding settings and make the changes if you
find any issue there.
· See if your email address is blocked: Check the
email block list, it may happen that your email has been blocked by some other
email provider. If you get any email address in the block list, delete that
email from the block list.
What to do if Gmail not receiving emails issue is there?
· If you are using an e-mail client or mobile
device to access your account, then switch to web interface to access your
account.
· Go to the “All Mail” label and search for the
missing mails. Look in trash or bin folder or the spam folder. If you find the
mail there, then go to menu and select move to option to transfer the mail to
the desired folder.
· Use the search mail option with the term
“in:anywhere” from the top of the page. Search for the missing messages here.
· Check if you have Settings->Inbox->Inbox Type set to anything
other than the "Default" view. Also check the other tabs if you are
using the tabbed Inbox.
· Check if you have any filters listed. Go to Settings and then Filters.
Check here if you have applied any filter.
· See if there are any forwarding accounts setup in Forwarding section.
· Check if the messages are there in email client like Outlook or
Thunderbird. Maybe it is there and not downloaded.
· Go to Settings and then Accounts. Navigate to change Account Settings and
click on Other Google account settings. Select Connected apps & sites and
go to Manage Apps. Make sure, you have not given account access to any other
web-sites or utilities.
· Go to Settings and click on Accounts. Check mail using POP3. Check if
you are able to fetch emails from another account or not. Try a Check Mail.
· Ask the senders if they get any sort of bounced/failed/rejected messages
returned to them.
· Check if your account full. See below the inbox and check much space is
there.
· Try to send yourself a test-message from a non-Gmail account and see if
you have received it. Now send a test-message to that non-Gmail account.
