Why dedicated server is better than shared hosting

by Mihir Thakur Web Master

Dedicated server is a physical computer that fulfills the requirements of a particular network that is owned by a business or a company. As the name suggest this system is entirely devoted to that particular business or company. The resources of this server are exclusively used by the owner and not by anyone else. Great storage capacity, dynamic performance and fast processor is what makes it irresistible and companies have no choice other than buying it. Be it small, medium and large-scale companies, it is suitable for all the needs as some of the dealers in India provide you with variety and some even provide you with an option of customizing it.
There is always a comparison of dedicated servers and shared servers, to be honest it’s useless. They are opposite in nature as the shared server, as the name suggest, is sharing of the server by more than 2 organizations or companies.

Even the resources are distributed among the users which depends upon the plan they have paid for, so you have no idea of how the other client is using the other partition of the server. If there is any unpleasant content on one of the partitions, then the server might be reported and later be banned. As a result, even your server will stop hosting. This kind of situation will never arise in a dedicated server and they will always have an upper hand over it.The following are the noteworthy points as why is dedicated server the ideal choice for any work environment:·
The slowing down of the server because of the traffic in shared hosting is a very common thing. Traffic obviously will increase your downloading time and your frustration (if you don’t like to wait for it). Nothing like this will ever happen in Dedicated hosting.

Storage restriction in shared hosting, which never fulfill the extra data requirements when needed. On the contrary, a dedicated server will provide virtually unlimited storage facility and hence easily meet any extra data requirements too.

·         In Dedicated server, the system administrator can choose the OS and hardware components of his choice whereas this kind of option is not available in shared server.

·         Dedicated servers can be organized in such a way that it fulfills the need of a company whereas this kind of option is not available in shared hosting because of the multiple clients they serve. Dedicated servers are further divided into 2 types managed and unmanaged.

Managed dedicated serves is basically the dealer handles the server entirely by themselves and clients don’t have to worry about the installing, managing of the OS etc.

Unmanaged dedicated servers the clients have to take care of everything like performing backup, monitoring the entire operating system and taking care of the applications if anything goes wrong etc.

So it’s always better to opt for cheap managed dedicated server which will indeed save your efforts, time and money. Some of the companies provide with the option of co-locating dedicated Server in Usa and Texas. I hope all your queries are cleared and now you can easily make your decision.
