White PCB-What You Need To Know

Abstract

One of the factors to consider before purchasing PCBs is color. Printed circuit boards are made in different colors ranging from white, blue-green, black, red and yellow among others. Each of the colors has advantages and disadvantages when used in PCBs.White PCB is the least preferred PCB color. The reason behind white PCB having least preference is, their components are not seen clearly compared to all other colors, white PCB is least clear. This feature makes the inspection of routing difficult. Another drawback of white is cleaning it spotless is quite a task.

The color of PCB depends on the color of solder mask applied on the board. Normally, circuit boards are coated with solder mask to protect them from unfavorable environmental conditions and also to avoiding bridging of solder which may occur accidentally in the assembly procedure. White PCB solder mask is made with formulations that have high white pigment content. This enables the white PCB to retain its white color without yellowing. White PCB is suitable for use in LED systems because it emits brighter light compared to other colors of PCB.

2.PCB black and white

Black and white PCBs are generally not the best PCB colors. The reason for this is that with them it is not easy to see the traces which are necessary when troubleshooting. However, other colors such as blue red and green are also available. It is up to the consumer to decide on what works best for them.

The white wire to printed circuit board connectors is far much better than other connectors. They are known for producing better and clearer pictures. They are identified by a common name but their individual number of pins vary.

The connectors seem to be members of the Molex Picoblade family. Their price is quite low compared to other connectors available in the market. At the retail outlet, the vendor identifies the board as 600TVL Sony Super CCD camera.

Small quantities of the white connectors are sold at retail price of 0.07US dollars even though they require cramping tools whose retail price is approximately 200 US dollars. These connectors have two pins with a distance of 1.25mm from the center line of one pin to the center line of the other pin.
