White and Soft Hues For Your Home

by Lana Jane Fox Blogger, Housewife

Remember when everything was painted white and gray? If not, you are probably not old enough, but there were times when people painted their houses in simple colours and white featured almost every room, including the exterior of the house. Nowadays, people are trying to spice things up and to add a lot of colour, but guess what? White is coming back! A year, or so ago, it was Black&White interior design, now it is white and all sorts of soft hues and, yes, it looks sophisticated, modern and really good.

Why is white, combined with soft hues so good?

The answer to this question is pretty simple. The white and the soft shades of blue are opening up the space, creating the illusion of a bigger apartment. If your apartment has a lot of windows and natural light coming in, you are at an advantage. In addition, these colours make the apartment a more brighter place to be in and that creates positive feelings and emotions straight away. It is both relaxing and energizing.

Here is how it works:

1. Combine white with another colour, unless you want to go completely mad.Not like white will drive you insane (although that is possible), but cleaning it will be a nightmare. If you don't believe me, ask cleaners <>. In that design by Alexander Lysak, soft hues of blue are used to add some contrast and to direct your eye towards the focal walls and points of the room.

2. If you want your white and bright interior to work, you have to clean it! Everyday. All year round. ALWAYS! No, I am not kidding. If you have pets, or little children, better forget about this design, because white is very demanding colour. It demands regular maintenance and you need to be sure you can afford it, according to professional cleaners from Patterson Lake. No more spills, drops, dusty and dirty socks on the sofa, no more fingerprints on the kitchen cupboard. The list goes on..

Hopefully, all this helped you determine whether that amazing design is for you.
