1. Darjeeling, West Bengal

Darjeeling is situated in the northern parts of West Bengal. It is surrounded by Green tea plantation and with white snow-covered Himalayan Mountain. In order to explore the beauty of the hill, it is best to travel in the ‘Darjeeling Himalayan Railway’, which is also known as ‘Toy Train’.

2. Shillong, Meghalaya

Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya, which is situated between Khasi hills. Among all the countries in the world, Shillong receives the highest rainfall. It is one of the charismatic hill stations in India.

3. Coorg, Karnataka

Coorg is famous for its misty tea, coffee and herbs plantations. Everywhere is surrounded by these plantations, covered with its white blanket of mist. The weather will be very pleasant and it is also called as ‘Scotland of India’.

4. Ooty, Tamil Nadu

Ooty is the widest hill station by honeymoon couples, as it is very delightful to view the sceneries and the travel from Mettupalayam to Ooty, in a traditional steam engine will make you enjoy the whole beauty of the hill station. Small falls, cottages, assortment of flowers and chilly weather in Ooty will make you feel like you are in heaven.

5. Manali, Himachal Pradesh

Manali is one of the beautiful and famous hill stations in North India. From Manali, if you travel for 53km, you will reach Rohtang Pass, where you can see only snow-covered all through the mountain walls and mountain top. These places are famous for trekking, paragliding, skiing and rafting.

6. Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh

Mcleodganj is the place where Dharmashala, the district headquarters of Dalai Lama resides. It is surrounded by many temples, steaming momos, future forecasting spindle wheels and so on.

7. Munnar, Kerala

Munnar is the most loved hill stations in South India. Situated in Kerala, it is surrounded by Greeny tea plantations slopes and misty weather. This small town will always be active and Matupetty Dam, Eravikulam National Park, Munnar Tea Museum, Anuamudi, Devikulam, and Fun Forest are some of the famous places in Munnar.

8. Nainital, Uttarakhand

Nainital is situated in Uttrakhand’s Kumaon range. This hill station is famous for its walking tracks by hillsides and active bazaar. Naina Devi Temple, Naini Lake, Dorothy’s Seat – Tiffin Top and Snow View Point are some of the famous places in Nainital.

9. Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir

Srinagar is one of the most scenic and famous hill stations in India. Mild summer climate, bluish lakes, Greeny forests and valleys, boathouses are the most attractive factors of Srinagar, which is situated in Jammu and Kashmir. This hill station rests along the bank sides of Jhelum River.

10. Matheran, Maharashtra

Matheran is one of the most beautiful hill stations in West India. It is situated in Maharashtra.  The rail tracks will be laid between the shady forests and the scenic view from the train will be very amicable and breathtaking. Neral-Matheran Toy Train, Karnala Fort Trek, Trek to Chanderi Caves, Louisa Point, Echo Point, Charlotte Lake and One Tree Hill is one of the famous places in Matheran.

11. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, is the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is covered with snowy mountain peaks and Greeny valleys. Many hill peak view resorts and lodges will be opened during the peak seasons to enjoy the view of Himalayas covered mist and snowy white blanket everywhere.

12. Wayanad, Kerala

Wayanad lies in the north-eastern part Kerala. This is a place, where you can see a variety of animals passing through the forest. The landscape of Wayanad includes mountains, valleys with rubber, cardamom, tea and coffee plantations. Wayanad is the best place to spend your vacation.
