When is there need of IVF treatment in India

The inability of a couple to conceive a child even after repeated tries of unprotected intercourse over a year is termed as infertility. This condition is not limited to any partner and can be seen in both males and females. Around 30-35 percent of females are affected with this problem and an equal number of males also suffer from it. In around 20 percent of the cases, both males and females are affected. There is a social stigma attached to this problem and causes a lot of mental stress. But you don’t need to worry now. There are many new methods which are out there to deal with this problem. In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a procedure which is done outside the body. Egg are taken from the female partner and sperm from the male one. They are combined in a special glass dish. Right from development of eggs to the completion of the procedure, it takes around 10-14 days. It is important to understand the eligibility of this procedure. IVF treatment specialists in India suggest this procedure if –

· Blocked fallopian tubes – these tubes carries the matured egg to the uterus. It becomes difficult for the egg to travel which prevents it from combining with the sperm. 1. Eggs are desired to start the fertility cycle. Medicine is given to stimulate multiple production of egg because some of them will not develop.

2. Once developed, a hollow needle is used to remove egg. A whole surgical procedure with ultrasound imaging is involved in this.

3. In next step, male partner is asked to produce a sample of sperm which will be combined with the egg.

ICSI is a common IVF procedure in which a single sperm is injected directly into the egg when there is a lower probability of fertilization. It is a laboratory procedure in which a single sperm is picked and injected directly into the egg. ICSI infertility treatment in India is different from this procedure as there is no need of multiple eggs and the ability of the sperm to penetrate the egg also do not matter. Around 25 percent of the patients will be able to conceive after only one attempt. It is suitable for the following candidates –

· Problem with sperm like low sperm count or cannot move properly.

· When IVF is not able to eradicate infertility.

Low concentration or motility.
