What You Need to Know about Marketing.

by Olufolake Stephen Adams Business/Marketing Consultant
I want to bring to your notice the IMPORTANCE of knowing
what MARKETING really is.
Once you have the true understanding of this, it will be easier to implement
whatever marketing strategy you may have.
Marketing is NOT ALL ABOUT SELLING products or services to people
it is about COMMUNICATION and how it is presented. It is about HOW
YOU CONNECT WITH YOUR PROSPECTS and HOW THEIR NEEDS
ARE BEING SATISFIED.

Marketing is entangled into different concepts and form the generality of what
marketing is all about.
Marketing also encompasses the advertising section of a business and how
you advertise your business products and services are all wrapped up in
marketing.
Marketing is the sector by which the success of your business lies. In fact, it is
the PILLAR by which it stands to succeed.
Sales are not visible without it, because it is in marketing that sales are
anchored, so it is very paramount to understand ALL there is to marketing.
Marketing has concepts, fundamentals by which it operates. To know these
concepts and fundamentals, kindly get my book, ‘the Concepts of
Marketing
’. It will teach you in full details about them.
To go deeper is to explore what marketing really is. What is marketing? I will
define it as the communication business of promoting and selling of products or services which may include market research and advertising to reach the customer’s place, thus generating sales in the process

From the above you will realize the following marketing concepts:
1. Communication.
2. Promotion
3. Selling.
4. Products and services.
5. Market Research
6. Advertising
7. Customers Experience
8. Sales.
These are the marketing concepts that are found within marketing. There are
14 fundamental aspects and 12 Marketing Concepts that I have discovered and
some you will NEVER FIND THEM on the web. That was why I told you to
get ‘The Concepts of Marketing’. It will be well worth it for you.

From the above, I realized that marketers just concentrate on the following
concepts:
1. Promotion.
2. Selling.
3. Products and services.
4. Advertising or Advertisement and neglect the fundamental aspect of it all
and that is COMMUNICATION and CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
These TWO fundamental aspects of marketing is what makes the others
effective and then bring forth the end result which is SALES.
