What Makes a Pull Up Banner an Effective Sales Tool

by Beth S. Freelance Writer

In any trade show or exhibition, pull up banners will always be present. These promotional tools have been tried and tested to deliver sales message across your prospects and existing clients. It is for this reason that it is always best to use roll up or pull up banners in all events you are participating or holding.  The benefits of pull up display banners are endless. However, these benefits can only be gained if your banner is designed effectively.

So, what makes a banner an effective sales tool?

1. Visible company logo. An important graphic element of a banner is the logo. Your logo reflects your company’s brand, values, and culture. It is your image and your business can be easily identified with it. So, when designing your banner, make sure that your logo is visible enough. It should not be too small or too big. It is highly suggested that the logo is placed on top or at eye level so it can easily grab a person’s attention.

2. High definition images.  A pull up banner gets the most attention when its pictures are appealing to the target audience. And when we say appealing, it has to be of high quality. The images should be in high resolution. When an image has a higher resolution, its pixels are smaller. As a result, smooth and high quality prints are created. When choosing the images to place on your banner, include only the relevant ones like your products or services, otherwise, you will just confuse your target market.

3. Appropriate colours. Colours can either reduce or increase the impact of your pull up banner design. So, your choice of colours in your banner has to be well thought of. If you want to grab consumer attention in an instant, use the colour red or orange. However, you have to consider if this colour works well with your existing corporate colours. It is also important to determine if such colour will blend with the background colour, text, and images of your pull up stand. In addition, the use of colours should convey the products or services you are offering because these can influence the consumers’ emotions. For instance, the colour blue stands for purity, care, and serenity. If you are in the business of medicines, water bottles, cold drinks, this is the perfect colour choice. On the other hand, if you are a finance or insurance company, use green as it is associated with the color of money and growth. Ask an expert like Chop Chop Banner about colour psychology.

4. Proper layout. This refers to putting all the banner elements together including the logo, copy, colours, contact details, and other relevant information. A proper layout makes sure that your message reaches your customers. You have to consider that consumers read from top to bottom and left to right so strategically place the said banner elements. Your prospects may be just passing by; hence, it is important to impress them at first sight.

Whether you are holding a monthly event or promoting a new product, utilising roll up banner design is an effective tool to build brand awareness and increase sales.
