You actually tell him through it about the quality and types of products he can expect to get from you and if you fail to meet his expectations, then he's going to turn to your competitors. Your brand is derived from how individuals perceive you to be, from whom you'd like to be and from who you are. Because of that, you need to make sure you get a logo that's easily recognizable and then place it everywhere.

What you need to understand by this is the fact that you need to use the same feel, look, logo placement and also color scheme throughout. This is not about trying to be as fancy as possible, but actually trying to be consistent.

By protecting your brand, you reduce the risk of having your brand image damaged by people who use your brand logo and name without your permission. It's also understandable that protecting your brand online can be time consuming, but the good news is that you can now use Google alerts or even specialized services that can help you identify abusers and bring them to court.
