Global Earth Day is the annual occasion celebrates on 22nd of April to raise the mindfulness about the deteriorating condition of the Mother Earth. The situation of our mother earth is weakening day by day and it is because of the two types of activities i.e. one is caused by the natural calamities while the 2nd one is caused particularly by the activities performed by individuals. Stopping natural activities are not in our hands but what are humans doing with nature? Do we have any obligations towards the mother planet? Do we ever consider the nature where we are getting various assets for survival?

What I feel is the most possible answer to these questions are no only.  Yes, we humans don’t think about the environment and do the activities for the benefits of us only and this is the reason the bad quality of air, water, soil etc.

Earth Day is an annual event conducted by the Earth Day Network (EDN) worldwide for the awareness programs related to the planet. The quality of air, water, food, soil etc. are worsening day by day and it is an alarming signal for all of us. Through this Earth Day, Earth Day Network tries to make us understand the importance of our planet and how we are responsible for the bad situation of our planet. The earth day event started in the year 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson after seeing the death of thousands of species due to spill out million gallons of oil into the river.

Every year a theme is decided for the celebration of earth day and let us see what is the theme of this year.
