The life expectancy of people with stage 3 chronic kidney disease depends on age, health problems, the treatment you are taking, and other factors. Life expectancy is different in both males and females. A 40-year-old man has a typical life expectancy of 15-20 years after diagnosis, and a 40-year-old woman with the same diagnosis has a life expectancy of 18-25 years. This is also dependent on the fact that what lifestyle you are following.
