what is the difference between microwave sensor and motion sensor?

by Jack Van LED Lighting solutions
Recently got to know some questions about microwave sensor and motion sensor from some clients, and they feedbacked some microwave sensor light is becoming dull after working several month, here i list some information about those two types sensor light in the markets here, hope it is useful for you to choose the perfect one.

here i take the example of microwave sensor led tube and motion sensor led tube, which is the common type in the markets, widely used in the underground car park, warehouse etc lighting.

Microwave sensor LED Tube is also named as radar sensor led tube,is Doppler theory that turn on / off the lamp after detecting electromagnetic wave of the moving objects in the sensor area, and the signal can penetrate into the nonmetal material that is used into waterproof lamp fixture. Besides, it is not affected by the environment temperature, but the cost of microwave sensor device is a little expensive than motion sensor, there is also cheap solution in the market that the sensitivity is not stable, some clients feedbacked it is not working at all after working several month.

Motion sensor LED Tube is also named as infrared sensor led tube, is to turn on / off the lamp by detecting the temperature of the objecting.even if motion sensor led tube is more stable,it is related to the environment temperature.normally it is becoming dull if the environment temperature is over 35℃,besides, this lamp can't be used in the waterproof lamp fixture since the signal can't penetrate into the nonmetal material.

you can choose the right products according to your application,if any question, kindly email me by sandingledlight@gmail.com
