What disgusts you the most about people?

True Story

One day I received a message on Quora which said “Mam I need your help”. Message was from a guy nearly 18.

“How can I help you”, I replied .

“Can I cry my heart out here please”, he messaged.

“Are you okay?” I replied.

Then he told me that he and his sister used to live in a different city ,away from parents for studies. He added how her sister died in an accident which he later came to know was a suicide. He mentioned about some mail that his sister left for him before suicide. He told me that his sister was being molested and raped by someone and she did suicide because she was not able to handle it any more. He told me how alone and depressed he feels,how much he cries everyday. He said he haven’t told anyone about this. Upon asking why was he telling me all this he said he don’t know why but he thinks of me as his sister because her name was also “Aastha”.

His Story touched me. I felt bad for him as well as his sister who has been through so much. I asked him so many questions if her sister mentioned the name of that rapist and many more but all of them were ignored saying “Di I am happy that we met. Please be with me forever.”

I could smell something fishy. I checked him out on facebook and now truth was in front of my eyes. It was pretty clear from his profile that he has only 2 brothers and no sister . I could see the pictures of some cousin sisters of him and I saved them on my phone.

Later I asked him if he could show me a picture of him with his sister and that person went so down that he sent me picture of his cousin sister who was alive living a great life.

I was red with anger that how can someone go so down that he faked so much and why Just to talk with a girl?

I bursted. I told him that I know the truth and it’s high time he told me why he did all these…

He gave another fake reason that he was being ignored by the family because he’s not good looking and he said no one loves me. I asked him what was the point of lying to someone who is completely a stranger but he kept lying again and again and as a result I blocked him.

What disgusts me?
People taking things like rape, molestation as joke. People know that these topics are very sensitive and they start fooling people around. Dude go and get a life. It is not okay to create false stories to get friends. It is not at all okay to play with someone’s emotions for our own sake.
This is sick!

Edit : After writing this answer have received many messages saying they received the same message from a guy and to our surprise most of the girls have received exactly the same message from the same guy and he keeps on changing his sister’s name.

Sometimes it’s Aastha and some times its Mirali, Diksha, Nishita, Divya and what not. It depends on the name of the girl whom he’s messaging.

I guess he has serious mental issues.
