Vaping has gained popularity in recent times, but it is still a new concept for many. New vapers or those who shifted from smoking to vaping recently are not fully aware of the etiquette of vaping. It is not surprising. As it is relatively a new practice, people may or may not know the etiquette.

Using portable vape pod has become an easy way to vape in public places nowadays. Different policies of bars, pubs, restaurants, and offices related to vaping increase the confusion. Thus, the current post is all about the vaping etiquette.

Pubs, restaurants, and bars

Vaping in the pubs and bars with friends can add a different dimension to the gathering. However, vaping can be a matter of etiquette at different venues for the enforcement of the various rules by these places. Few places permit you to vape freely inside, and in some places, you need to go out to vape. Restaurants and pubs serving foods often ask people to get outside for vaping.

If you don’t find any board or sign related vaping, it is better to ask before start vaping. If you are in a gathering, it will be a great gesture to seek other’ permission before vaping. Vaping doesn’t have any risk related to passive vaping, yet it is better to seek the permission of others before starting it.

Public transport

Most of the public transport doesn’t allow vaping. No matter you are carrying a box mod or portable vape pod, you cannot use then inside a train as railways banned vaping inside the train. You must respect the law and must not vape unless you are completing your journey. It is not only trains, but buses, metros, and trams don’t allow vaping inside. Since 2016, vaping is also banned in all US flights.

Taxis

Since taxis are more like a private vehicle, there is still no rules related to vaping. However, some cab companies have their own rules related to vaping. It is better to ask the driver before you will vape inside the taxi.

Vaping during Work

Working place is a public place, and several people used to work there together. Therefore, while you are in the workplace, it is better to look for the vaping related policies in your office. However, if there is no written policy, then ask the HR or your boss vaping related policies. If they cannot give a satisfactory answer to you, ask your colleagues that if they are okay with it or not. If they don’t have an objection, you can enjoy your vaping.
