Web Design Trends In 2019

by Carmatec Global Digital Transformation Agency For Enterprise & Sta

Welcome to the final year of the decade which marks the closing of an eventful decade. In this memorable decade, we have seen the internet grow, the rise of mobile technology, the introduction of AR, VR, AI, AMP and what not. As exciting as all this technological advancement has been, web design is where all the change of trends gets reflected. And as our first post in this New Year, we have our anticipations with respect to the trends in web design Dubai – all laid out for you. We agree that this year is going to be full of plenty of surprises which might well surpass all our imaginations. So, as much as we’d like to imagine what 2019 will hold for web design trends, it is ultimately for us together to witness.

1)      3-D illustrations

Just as we began to look forward to a flat future, big brands started focusing on the new trend of the supposedly ‘old-fashioned’ 3D. This effort mainly focuses on adding depth and an element of realism to the graphics designed, helping do away with the boundaries between the real and digital world. This, though, seems to be one of those only incrementally evolutionary trend that does not quite animate the presentation of people yet, as taking them just from the flat illustrations to cartoons.

2)      More serious and less playful brand identities

With less playful and more serious business logos being adopted by the brands, the brands are making their move to the conventional, less eccentric and more credible brand identity with the use of sans serif fonts such as Helvatica. This is in contrast to 2018, when we saw more eccentric and eye-catching brand identities and it might be representing the developmental stage of the brands wherein their attainment of maturity. If so, this trend is here to stay in 2019 and beyond.

3)      Micro-interactions

Micro-interactions are events that serve one purpose that is meant to surprise the user and create an event that is inviting and human. Every time, we take a small action on a website, there is a specific response to it and it is said to be a micro-interaction. Apart from these basic uses of the micro-interactions, 2019, will see the web pages heavily featuring these by incorporating the hover and scrolling animations, chimes and lots more. Since this is a great technique to keep the audience engaged with your website that allows subtle transmission of the information to the users about their actions and usage making the web pages look somewhat smart, this trend is being loved by one and all.

4)      Chat-bots evolving to the next level

Chat-bots have been in trend for a while now and the evolution of AI and ML, will only make them smarter and more efficient in 2019. With these in place, the users will experience the customization of web page information like never before. And also, the day is not far when we can anticipate friendly mascots to represent the brands giving the bot a more personal face.

5)      More Video Content

The video content has been on a rise and in 2019, we will see some more of it. In short, this trend is too good to let it go away and therefore, the brands will be even more focussed on producing videos to keep their on-the-go audience engaged. Also, with Google mixing the search page results and featuring the video content over and above the standard web pages, video production by the websites is now prioritized even more. It is not just an additional feature anymore, but a necessity for the websites to stay competitive in terms of Google Search Engine Ranking.

We welcome you to add to the list of the upcoming trends with what you believe is going to make it big this year, in website design Qatar. Please comment in the comment section with your ideas.
