There are many common synthetic items we use like bags, bottles, many household products, containers and often use to carry food, clothes and goods. Shopkeepers also give their customers poly bags to carry different goods they purchase from shop.

The plastic used widely in many industries like packaging, disposable, storage and construction. Its flexibility and simplicity made it’s the most useful materials today. But with easiness polymer has many disadvantages too. It is one of the harmful substances that pose serious danger to the environment. The one of the problem attach with it is that, it is not disposal. It is made up of polymer chemical. This is not biodegradable, when we burn the polymer, it releases many harmful chemicals and this gives negative impact on the environment. Therefore there is need for recycling the plastic.

Recycling is a process of curving out new products from the waste or used materials. If we recycle the polymer then it will be beneficial for environment as well as for us. This procedure involves recuperating scrap polymer materials and reprocesses it to produce new materials. It is a very complex and expensive process, this is because the inside molecular structure of polymer. Just heating polymer doesn’t solve the problem and hence some very strong process is required to get rid of it.

Advantages

There are several advantages of recycling polymer few are listed below:

• It helps to reduce the non renewable fossil fuels.

• It also help to reduce the consumption of excess energy as already prepared products takes less energy in reprocessing.

• It also reduces the quantity of dump synthetic and hence stops land pollution.

Ways of recycling

One of the most general procedures of reprocessing polymer is called as inverse polymerization process. In this method polymer is curved into initial form that was utilized in manufacturing earlier. There are few basic steps written here that many plastic recycling companies use for reprocessing:

1. It buys or collects poly bags and plastic scraps from home as well as from many offices or industries. 2. Secondly they divide scraps into many classes like PET bottles, containers and bags. 3. And then the plastic is cut into many small parts. 4. These small parts are then washed to remove dirty particles. 5. Finally these tiny pieces are melted and put into small utensils for reutilization.
