Types of cast aluminum alloy

Cast aluminum alloy is aluminum alloy which can use metal cast and molded process and direct access to parts. The content of alloying elements of the class alloy is generally more than the content of the corresponding deformation of the aluminum alloy.

The first is the ZL101. Its composition is simple and easy to melting and casting, with good casting properties and good gas tightness, welding and cutting performance is relatively good, but mechanical properties are not high. They are suitable for casting thin-walled, large area and a complicated shape, the less demanding strength of various parts, such as the casing of the pump, gear box, a meter housing (frame) and appliances on the parts, and mainly using sand casting and metal casting.

The second is Zl101A. Because it is on the basis of the ZL101 plus trace Ti, refined the grains, strengthen the organization of the alloy, and its overall performance is higher than Zl101 of ZL102 and better corrosion resistance. They can be used as a general load engineering structural parts and motorcycles, cars and household appliances, instrumentation products on the various structural components of quality castings. The number is second only to the ZL102, use more sand and metal casting.

The third is Zl102. The most important feature of this alloy is good liquidity, other properties are similar with ZL101, but the air tightness is better than the ZL101. They can be used to cast a variety of complex shapes, thin-walled die castings and large area, complex shape metal or sand casting. The fourth is Zl104. Because of the large amount of IOLs to offset the harmful effects of the material mixed with the Fe, with a good casting properties and excellent air tightness, corrosion resistance, welding and cutting performance is also better. However, its heat resistance is poor.

The fifth is Zl105. Due to the addition of Cu, reducing the content of Si, the casting and welding properties are poor than ZL104. However, high temperature strength and cutting performance are better than ZL104. They are suitable for use as a complex shape, size, and material load power structure pieces. Zl105A is to reduce the content of ZL105 impurity element Fe, improve the strength of the alloy, have better mechanical properties and use more foundry quality castings.

Sixth is the ZL106. Due to the increased content of Si, the casting properties of the alloy and high temperature properties is superior to the ZL105 air tightness, and corrosion resistance is also good. They can be used as general load structural parts and requires better air tightness and parts operating at higher temperatures, mainly uses sand and metal casting.

The seventh is ZL107. ZL107 has excellent casting performance and air tightness performance, and good mechanical properties, their welding and machining performance is normal, resist is less performance.
