This time we’re going to take you through a list of foods that are essential to your overall health and immunity, foods that will keep the bad guys like cancer,etc. away , foods that promote optimum health. These foods are part of the anti-inflammatory pyramid. It is now a proven that inflammation is the cause of disease and sickness, and by including these food items in your diet, you can banish inflammation once and for all! Let’s start from the top of the pyramid
1. Foods to eat sparingly
Like the pointer suggests, these are the foods that you should consume in the least amounts or super sparingly.
Decrease your intake of alcohol, processed candies, white bread, or anything that is not natural and has undergone a barrage of processes. All this artificial processing strips away the naturally present nutrients from the foods and renders it useless. If anything, processed foods have a high glycaemic index, that increases the amount of sugar in your blood and can cause conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart conditions.
What you can do however is include a piece or two of 70% dark chocolate and an occasional glass of red wine in your diet, both of which contain anti-oxidant qualities and can be good for you eaten in moderation.
2. Foods that you can eat in moderation
These foods are good for you but because of of their rich macro content, it is better to watch your portions.
This part of the pyramid includes complex carbs like whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes and protein rich food items like quinoa, beans, legumes, chicken, shiitake mushrooms, fish, etc.
This also includes foods like almonds, avocados, extra virgin olive
oil, etc. which include good fats that are essential to your overall
Switch to using extra virgin olive oil over processed fats like vegetable oil and butter.

You need to include at least one serving of protein per meal and a fistful of carbs in
