True reason why you should stop trying to become a famous writer

Every more or less passionate writer wants to become famous. Let’s be honest about it from the start – young writers are often conceited and they dream of creating bestselling books. They want their talent to be acknowledged by the readers and the critics.

 

But it is not so simple to achieve this goal if you bear in mind that more than 2 million books are published each year. That’s why many writers copy their famous colleagues’ styles or try to indulge wider audience by making the low-quality content.

It’s completely natural to hope for a gigantic breakthrough but it’s not good to burn in your desire to achieve it. Instead, you should be patient and work on your own writing style.

But if you decide to follow your passion and work hard, you don’t need to join this imitation game. You’ll distinguish yourself from peers and find your way to the breakthrough.

Let’s not forget that writing is not only about hard work and gaining popularity. It is also about the feeling of happiness when you start creating a decent piece of literature. When you do it just like any other business, you lose the entire magic that goes with it.

 

Writing is passion. It’s the shivers you feel while producing a high-quality text. It’s the knowledge that your words could mean the world to future readers. If you write like a robot, using strict rules and motives, you basically automate the process and take away its soul. So stop concentrating on results and enjoy the process. It will bring you pleasure and great results.
