Troubleshoot your QuickBooks Printer Issues

Below are some steps thayou can perform to resolve printing issues with your QuickBooks. But before these, you should ensure that your QuickBooks is updated to the latest version. Here are the steps:

  • Switch off your system, restart your computer and then switch on the printer again.
  • Ensure that the printer is loaded properly. 
  • Then click, Windows Start button, Choose Control Panel and double-click Printers and Faxes
  • After that, right-click the printer and choose ‘Use Printer Online’. This step will be performed if the printer is showing offline.
  • Double-click the printer and select Printer> Cancel All Documents
  • Close the window and right click the printer, choose properties, and click Print Test Page


  If test page is printed, then use the printer through WordPad using the steps below

  • Click start> Run and Enter Wordpad
  • Enter some text in Wordpad and choose File>Print and print the page
  • Along with this also ensure that there is no error light is displayed on the printer
  • If the error signal is displayed, then you can mention the manufacturer that the printer is displaying error signal and is not printing the test page    and from Wordpad.


   You can also run QuickBooks PDF and Print repair Tool. Below are the steps to download this software and use it:
  • Download QuickBooks PDF and Print repair Tool and run it on your system.errorerror
  • Try with the file that shows error and if the error still occurs, reboot your system and try again.
  • If Email and Save as PDF issues occur, then check whether you can print using XPS Document Writer using the below ways:



  •      Open notepad and type something.
  •       Go to File-> Print      
  •       Choose XPS Document Writer and Print             
  •       In the Save As dialogue box, choose Desktop as the place.       
  •       Now check if you can view the XPS document from notepad.
  •       In addition to this, you can check printing from your own printer if                   you can successfully print the paper.
