by Guest Blogger
While mothers often get the credit, the fathers also play major roles in the life of kids. In fact, fathers are quite like mothers, they leave no stone unturned to keep their family members well. All they ask for in return are love and appreciation. Often the roles played by fathers are overlooked. But the truth is that a father plays an equally important role like a mother while it comes to maintaining a family or upbringing kids.

So, whether your man’s fatherhood age is 1 or 31, celebrate this father’s day with him to appreciate him for all the things he does every day to keep you happy. But father’s day celebration is not just about gifting cards and some gifts or about preparing special meals for him. It is all about making your kids realize how special their father is.

Hence, here is a list of few things that you can do to make him proud as a father.

1. Gift him a lazy day: As the fathers only get to spend quality times with their kids on weekends, they often give up their sleep. So, why not gift him a lazy day like earlier times when he used to lounge in bed for hours and snooze for how long he likes. This is one such father’s day special gift, which will make him more than happy.

2. Allow him to spend some quality “me” time: After being a father, the thought of spending “me” time mostly go out of the window. He constantly tries to do every possible thing to manage his family properly. But this is his day. So, let him spend some quality “me” time uninterruptedly for a few hours and you take care of the baby.

3. Prepare his favorite meal: No matter how strange his food preference is, on this father’s day, one of the best things that you can do for your man is to cook up his favorite food and serve it with love.

4. Ask your kid to make something special for him: Father’s Day is all about fathers and kids. So, why not ask your kid to make something special for his/her dad on the eve of father’s day. There are a number of small yet meaningful things that your kid can gift. For example, ask your kid to make a “Father’s Day” special greetings card where he/she jot down the thoughts about father. Or you can ask him to prepare a photo collage by combining some of the best photographs of both of them. Other things that you can ask your kid to purchase from his/her pocket money are pens, personalized key chains or personalized Smartphone back covers.

5. Get him something that he really cherishes: If your kid is small enough to purchase or make any gifts for his/her dad, then you can gift him something special on your kid’s behalf. In case he is a movie buff, then you can ask him for a special movie date. In case your man is health conscious, then you can gift him a box of assorted dry fruits. Apart from that, you can also gift him some personal use items like wallets or belts.

6. Plan a family day trip: To make the father’s Day really special, you can plan a special family day trip with your man and kid. To surprise him even more, you can opt for the activities of your preference. For instance, you can opt for a hike, a family walk, a baseball game, a bike ride or a road trip to the nearby area that he likes to check out.

7. Make him realize how much he is appreciated: Taking care of a family and especially a baby is not easy. And this is why your man needs an appreciation for the things that he does. Although it is not possible to appreciate him regularly, you can definitely appreciate him on this special eve of father’s day. On this special day, tell him how much you admire him for the wonderful things they do as a father.

8. Prepare a memento for him: Last but not least, to make this father’s day a remarkable one for your man, you can gift him a customized memento adding his photographs with the baby.
