The Adventurous Ladakh

You will find a touch of Tibetan culture at every nook and corner of this territory. The life here is a lot more simple and different from metropolitan cities that appease outsiders. There are some wonderful monasteries in the heart of this place where people go to attain sanity. The local inhabitants are engaged in organic farming and produce wheat, barley and dairy products for sustaining life. For the most part of the year, the sky remains clear and temperature doesn’t scale up suddenly. Riding to this place has always been the daunting task but still people plan the thrilling Ladakh Motorcycle tour in order to enjoy the picturesque sights of this thriving landscape.

The Land of high passes

Usually, people take the bus from Delhi to reach Leh by covering almost 1000 km and then hop on to the 350 cc bike for the further expedition. The long stretches of roads along the mountainous ranges give you the panoramic view of the valleys and rivers as you move towards Ladakh. The circuitous ways along and across the valleys bring forth euphoric experiences that you have never felt it before. You get to encounter different species of Yaks, Ibex, black-necked crane and Tibetan wild ass (Kiang), the glimpse of which you can capture in your camera. Furthermore, there are valleys which riders can explore on their way to the highlands of Ladakh. The most enriching ones are Nubra valley, Rupshu valley, Suru and Zanskar valley.

Nubra valley is situated at the north-eastern point of Ladakh and is 150 Km away from Leh. The place is surrounded by gigantic Karakorum ranges which are a part of The Great Himalayas. The Khardung La pass from Leh town is the entry point to this valley. The sand dunes and hot springs are the major attraction to this valley. Another captivating sight is the Zanskar valley which lies to the east of Ladakh. This place is famous for its steep mountains which summons mountaineers and trekkers from across the world. Besides mountaineering, you also enjoy river rafting in Zanskar River which will not disappoint you at all. Riders can enter into Suru valley by following Pensi-la pass from Zanskar valley for astronomical sightseeing.
